Historic downtowns deserve historic-grade craft.

Northville and Plymouth share the metro's two best walkable downtowns and the housing that comes with them: Victorians and foursquares near the squares, mid-century ranches a mile out, and new construction on the edges. The old ones test a contractor. Wandering plaster walls, original trim worth matching, kitchens that were never square. That's the work we like best.

The Northville & Plymouth Kitchen

Old bones, respected.

In a historic-district Victorian, the wrong contractor rips out original character and installs catalog boxes with caulk hiding every gap. We do the opposite: scribe cabinetry to real walls, match crown and casing profiles to the house, choose door styles that suit the period, and hide modern conveniences (soft-close pull-outs, paneled appliances, under-cabinet lighting) inside cabinetry that looks like it grew there. Northville's historic district standards are a floor for us, not a ceiling.

Newer Homes Too

Colonials and new builds get the same standard.

Plymouth Township colonials and Northville's newer subdivisions are more straightforward: refacing with soffit removal, ceiling-height cabinets, quartz, and storage retrofits. Same craftsman, same written quote, same promise to beat any competitor, and no travel charge from Sterling Heights.

Northville & Plymouth Questions

Asked by Northville & Plymouth homeowners, answered straight.

Do you work in Northville's historic district?

Yes. Matching original trim and crown, scribing to plaster walls, and choosing period-appropriate door styles are exactly the skills historic homes need. We keep the character and modernize the function.

Do you serve both Northville and Plymouth, including the townships?

Yes: Northville, Northville Township, Plymouth, and Plymouth Township, with no travel charge. Call or text (586) 322-4260.

Can you modernize an old kitchen without gutting it?

Usually. Refacing with new soft-close doors, ceiling-height uppers, quartz counters, and pull-out storage transforms most kitchens for roughly half the cost of replacement while keeping the house's original bones.
